Рarticipated in the IX International Conference "Annual Ukrainian Psychiatric Association International Conference IX"

On February 24-25, 2023, Liudmyla Myronets, psychiatrist, and head of the Center for Psychiatric Care and Professional Psychophysiological Selection of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi Region", participated in the IX International Conference of the Annual Ukrainian Psychiatric Association International Conference "The price of peace in our time", held in Warsaw, Poland. The conference was attended by the best international speakers from more than 20 countries, including representatives of world psychiatric associations, societies, and unions. In the context of a full-scale invasion, all components of mental health have been affected by severe psycho-traumatic factors, which leads to mental exhaustion. Therefore, the objective of the event is to develop and improve effective mental health care and overcome the potential deterioration of the condition of Ukrainians. Lifestyle modification: normalization of sleep and wakefulness, rational nutrition, and moderate physical activity significantly improve the condition of patients. Daily exercise has been proven to promote hippocampal function and increase levels of the neurotrophic factor BDNF, which is responsible for neuronal repair and is therefore recommended as part of the treatment of anxiety, depressive disorders, and physical symptoms of PTSD. To combat stigma, it is necessary to clearly explain the cause and mechanism of symptoms. The key to effective treatment is to seek medical help early! This allows you to prevent the development of concomitant pathologies in time and get rid of the symptoms of the disease in the early stages of the disease.
